Buckley Wins
4-H Round Robin Showmanship at N.D. State Fair
Jerry Buckley won
the 4-H round robin senior showmanship competition Saturday, July 31,
at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. Buckley is a Morton County 4-H
member who advanced to the round robin competition after receiving the
champion placing in swine showmanship.
Stefanie Bohrer from
Mercer County won the junior division round robin competition. Reserve
champion senior showman was Tessa Kempenich, Bowman County, and reserve
champion junior showman was Chantel Urban, Ward County.
Champion and reserve
champion show persons in beef, dairy, sheep, swine and goat were eligible
for the round robin. In that competition, each had to rotate to show each
of the five species to the judge.
