August 27, 2004 Web Site Offers Frost Damage Information A Web site, Coping with Late Maturing and Frost Damaged Crops, is now available through North Dakota State University at www.ag.ndsu.edu. The Web site can be found under several headings including: Timely Topics, Crops and Livestock. The site features general information and sections on sunflower, dry edible beans, corn and soybeans. Various links to other universities are also available. Topics range from insurance and farm program considerations to sunflower silage. The site was assembled after numerous reports of severe frost damage were received from across the state. A large portion of the site is also devoted to issues surrounding late maturing corn. From the site, producers are also able to link to a new corn chopping list. Producers can register their names if they need corn acreage chopped, but don’t have the equipment or if they have equipment and may be able to do custom work for others. ### Editor: Rich Mattern, (701) 231-6136, richard.mattern@ndsu.nodak.edu |
