Bert Moore Honored by Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity

Bert Moore, associate professor in the Animal and Range Science Department at North Dakota State University, has recently been recognized as a “Brother of The Century” at the 58th Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity national convention in Columbus, Ohio. This recognition is given to only two percent of the fraternity’s members in the nation.

Moore is the longest tenured livestock judging coach in the country. He is currently coaching his 35th Senior Livestock Judging Team at NDSU. He teaches courses in livestock nutrition/management and sheep production at NDSU and conducts research in applied sheep production.

Moore has served two terms as president of the International Intercollegiate Livestock Coaches Association and has been recognized by youth and student organizations for teaching, advising and service. He is a nationally recognized beef and sheep judge having judged livestock in 25 states and several Canadian provinces.

Those selected are known for the highest principles, values and ideals of brotherhood of Alpha Gamma Rho. The honorees are recognized within their career fields and communities as role models for young men.
