September 16, 2004 Global Seminar Teachers Leadership Skills North Dakota State University’s Distance and Continuing Education division is helping sponsor “Leadership from the Ground Up,” a one-day global satellite seminar Oct. 13. The program will be broadcast live from 9:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Speedway Restaurant event center, 680 Main Ave. W., West Fargo. Participants will learn about the state of today’s global community and how they can maximize their potential in the business world and their personal lives. They also will hear some secrets to success in today’s wavering economy; discover how to take their organizations to the next level of productivity, opportunity and success; and learn valuable lessons that will help make them more effective leaders. Speakers for the event are deal-maker, businessman and philanthropist Donald Trump; Rudolph Giuliani, who was mayor of New York during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks; Stephen Covey, best-selling author on personal and professional development; Jack Welch, chairman and chief executive officer of General Electric from 1981 to 2001; internationally acclaimed personal finance expert Suze Orman; Ram Charan, highly acclaimed business adviser, speaker and author; and Brian Tracy, one of America’s leading authorities on the development of human potential and personal effectiveness. The event also includes a panel discussion in which some of today’s most successful leaders and executives from Fortune 500 companies speak candidly about the lessons they’ve learned. The cost of the program is $199 per person for one to eight people from the same organization, $189 each for groups of nine to 16 people and $179 each for groups of 17 or more people.
