NDSU Hosts Goat Tying Clinic

North Dakota State University’s Equine Science Program is holding a clinic on goat tying and ground practice for the breakaway roper at its Equine Center in Fargo on Oct. 23-24.

This is one of four equine educational events that the Equine Science Program will host in the coming months. All of the events are open to the public.

Jackie Olson, Dickinson State University women’s rodeo coach, will be the instructor for the first event. The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 23 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 24. The NDSU Equine Center is at the North Dakota Horse Park, 5180 19th Ave. N.

Pre-registration is required. The number of participants will be limited. Oct. 12 is the registration deadline.

The cost of the clinic is $100 per participant. Half of the fee must be sent with the registration. Participants will pay the other $50 when they arrive.
