N.D. Crop Improvement and Seed Association Announces Meeting Schedule

The North Dakota Crop Improvement and Seed Association will conduct its annual district meetings in early December, according to Paulette Neva, executive secretary. The business agenda includes membership updates and election of district directors.

Dale Zetocha, North Dakota State University Research Foundation executive director, will discuss the implementation of research fees on new NDSU varieties. Other topics include a review of 2004 NDSU small grain performance trials and updates from the NDSU Foundation Seedstocks Project and the North Dakota State Seed Department.

All certified seed growers, conditioners, retailers or anyone interested in the certified seed industry is encouraged to attend. The meetings are open to the public. The NDCISA will award one certificate for 40 acres of free field inspection at each of the meetings.

District, date, time and location of the meetings:

Southwest District:
Monday, Dec. 6, Seven Seas, Mandan, 1 to 4 p.m.
Northwest District:
Tuesday, Dec. 7, International Inn, Minot, 9 a.m. to noon
Southeast District:
Friday, Dec. 10, Eagles Club, Valley City, 9 a.m. to noon
Northeast District:
Monday, Dec. 13, Community Center, Lakota, 9 a.m. to noon

The NDCISA encourages the development and implementation of practical, scientific crop production practices and actively supports research, Extension and educational programs at NDSU and throughout the state.
