January 13, 2005 North Dakota CCA Annual Meeting Set for Jan. 26 in Fargo Certified crop advisers (CCAs) and prospective CCAs are invited to attend the North Dakota CCA annual meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Fargo Ramada Plaza Suites. The hourlong program begins at 5 p.m., immediately following the Wild World of Weeds Workshop. The CCA meeting is organized and conducted by the North Dakota CCA board, according to Greg Endres, board chair and North Dakota State University Extension Service area agronomist. The purpose of the annual meeting is to provide a program update for CCAs as well as receive their input on increasing services to CCA members. In addition to board reports, Dave Franzen, regional CCA representative and NDSU Extension Service soils specialist, will discuss International Board activities that impact local CCAs. Joel Owen, North Dakota Department of Agriculture pesticide inspector, will give a brief presentation titled “Spray Applications: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly!” CCAs attending the workshop will have the opportunity to receive a 0.5 professional development continuing education unit. Appetizers and door prizes will be available at the event.
