Campaign Teaches People to Live Well

Raising kids, eating right, spending smart and living well are the themes of a campaign that the Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences is promoting in North Dakota and nationally.

The “Living Well” campaign’s goal is to provide people with the education and information they need to do just that.

“The North Dakota Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences works through the North Dakota State University Extension Service to offer all kinds of information that will help families achieve a positive, healthy lifestyle,” says Ellen Bjelland, president of the state association. She also is an Extension agent in human development and family science in Barnes County.

“Whether you are trying to make healthy food choices, do a better job of managing your money or get tips on effective parenting techniques, Extension probably has the answer,” she says.

March 13-19 is Extension Living Well Week. Bjelland says it’s a good time to become acquainted with your local Extension office or visit the NDSU Extension Service Web site, www.ag.ndsu.edu/extension.
