Bison West Set for June 2 in Williston

The North Dakota State University Alumni Association will host “Bison West” on June 2 at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston.

NDSU President Joseph and Gale Chapman will attend the event, which will be hosted by NDSU alumni Warren and Mary Froelich, Lee Gunlikson and Frank and Katie Keogh.

"Gale and I really look forward to attending Bison West,” Chapman says. “We enjoy talking about the university and listening to all the wonderful stories about people’s experiences at NDSU. With the growth the university has experienced during these past few years, we see how our alumni and friends share in the enthusiasm found on campus."

A barbecue meal will be served followed by a short program. Cost for the event is $5 per person and free for children 12 and under. To register, contact Judy at the NDSU Extension office in Williams County at (701) 577-4595 or go to www.ndsualumni.com/coe/bisonwest/ and click on registration.

The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is a half-mile east of the Fort Buford State Historic Site or 23 miles west of Williston. The center tells the story of the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers and offers the same view Lewis and Clark expedition members saw when they visited the area in 1804 and 1806.
