No-till Tour in Stutsman County Set for July 12

The Stutsman County Soil Conservation District and North Dakota State University Extension Service will conduct a no-till crop tour on Tuesday, July 12.

The tour will focus on several area producers and their no-till operations and equipment. Producers featured on the tour are Tom Trautman, Kevin Haas and Jeremy Wilson. A wide range of no-till crop rotations, such as field peas, soybeans, corn and cereal grains will be featured.

The tour bus will load at 8:45 a.m. at the Jamestown Civic Center parking lot and will arrive back in Jamestown at approximately 2 p.m. The tour is free of charge and includes a free lunch buffet at the Prairie Oasis in Cleveland, N.D.

The tour schedule is:

8:45 to 9 a.m. – Load buses at Jamestown Civic Center parking lot
9:10 to 9:25 a.m. – Tom Trautman farm
9:35 to 10:05 a.m. – Trautman soybean field tour
10:20 to 10:50 a.m. – Jeremy Wilson farm and corn field tour
11:05 to 11:30 a.m. – Wilson wheat field tour
11:45 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. – Kevin Hass field pea tour
12:15 to 12:30 p.m. – Hass winter wheat field tour
12:50 to 1:40 p.m. – Lunch at Prairie Oasis in Cleveland
2 p.m. – Arrive in Jamestown
