July 1, 2005 Six Youths Become N.D. 4-H Ambassadors Six youths have been selected as North Dakota 4-H ambassadors. They are Heidi Jo Bassen, LaMoure
County; Kyle Faught, Cass County; Laura Hall, Walsh County; Allyse Hoge,
Griggs County, Paul Lukach, Cavalier County; and Courtney Wolff, Dickey
County. They are among 51 4-H ambassadors in the state. Major events they help organize include the annual statewide 4-H Extension Youth Conference, held during the third week of June at North Dakota State University. Another big event is the State Fair in Minot, where the ambassadors help 4-H volunteers and county and state NDSU Extension Service staff with 4-H events. Ambassador candidates were required to go through a series of interviews and give presentations. The new ambassadors were selected during the Extension Youth Conference. For more information about the North Dakota 4-H or 4-H Ambassador programs, contact your local office of the NDSU Extension Service or visit the NDSU Extension Service Center for 4-H Youth Development Web site at www.ext.nodak.edu/4h/4-h.htm. ### Source:
