Rural Leadership North Dakota Application Deadline Extended

The deadline to apply for the next Rural Leadership North Dakota class has been extended to July 15.

RLND is a two-year interactive study and travel program offered through the North Dakota State University Extension Service. The program is designed to produce graduates with the vision and commitment to lead themselves, their organizations and their communities into the future.

Participants will attend 10 seminars and one study tour in the two-year period. The seminars will be held throughout the state. The tour is a six-day trip to Washington, D.C. Participants also create and implement a project in their organization and /or community that allows them to practice the skills they learn. The next class starts in October.

Applicants must have been a state resident for at least a year. They also must be able to attend all of the seminars and the study tour, which will mean a commitment of about 15 days each year.

Participants will be responsible for tuition of $1,375 per year. That includes the cost of the seminars, lodging and meals.

Applications are available online at www.ag.ndsu.nodak.edu/rlnd. Request a mailed application by e-mail at r-leader@ndsuext.nodak.edu. Send the completed application to Rural Leadership North Dakota Program, North Dakota State University, P.O. Box 5437, Fargo, ND 58105-5437. The applications must be postmarked no later than July 15.
