47th Annual Sheep and Beef Day Set for Feb. 8

North Dakota State University’s Hettinger Research Extension Center is hosting the 47th annual Sheep and Beef Day program at the Hettinger Armory on Feb. 8.

“Sheep and Beef Day provides livestock producers and rangeland managers of the region an opportunity to review research from the Hettinger Research Extension Center and other research stations within NDSU,” says Christopher Schauer, animal and range scientist at the center. “The variety of research topics addressed will appeal to a broad selection of livestock producers in southwestern North Dakota.”

  • 11:50 a.m. – An update from the American Sheep Industry Association
  • Noon lunch featuring American lamb and beef
  • 1 p.m. - Welcome from Ken Grafton, dean of the NDSU College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources and director of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station
