February 22, 2006 NDSU Fuzzy Wuzzy Horse Show Set for March 26 Riders of all ages will be able to test their skills at the North Dakota State University Fuzzy Wuzzy Horse Show on March 26. The show, which starts at 10 a.m., will be at the NDSU Equine Center. The center is at the North Dakota Horse Park, which is two miles west of Interstate 29 on Fargo’s 19th Avenue North. The NDSU Equine Studies Program is sponsoring the event. Participants can enter classes in showmanship, walk-trot pleasure, Western pleasure, walk-trot horsemanship, Western horsemanship, walk-trot egg and spoon, walk-trot barrels, walk-trot pole weaving and a bribe-your-horse race. Some are open categories; others are for particular age groups. The cost to enter is $3 per class. “Show clothes are not required,” says Clare Purdy, NDSU equine science lecturer and show organizer. “Just come as you are and have fun.” Stalls will be available for horses at the rate of $10 for the day or $20 for an overnight stay. Horses must have an up-to-date Coggins test showing they do not have equine infectious anemia. Show officials will check the test results before riders unload their horses. For more information about the show or to reserve a stall, contact Purdy at (701) 231-6565 or cpurdy@ndsuext.nodak.edu. ### Source:
