May 11, 2006 Crop Management Field School June 22 at NDSU’s Carrington Research Extension Center A crop management field school will be offered Thursday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the North Dakota State University Carrington Research Extension Center. The event’s targeted audience is crop advisers. The school is organized and conducted by the NDSU Extension Service. The school will provide hands-on training on crop pests and soil management using field research and demonstration plots. Field sessions include:
Workshop instructors include: Ken Eraas, North Dakota Department of Agriculture noxious weed specialist; Greg Endres, NDSU Extension Service area agronomist; Dave Franzen, NDSU Extension Service soils specialist; Terry Gregoire, NDSU Extension Service area agronomist; Janet Knodel, NDSU Extension Service entomologist; Bill Leith, entomology graduate student; and Marcia McMullen, NDSU Extension Service plant pathologist. A completed preregistration form and $50 fee is requested by June 19 ($75 after June 19). A total of 50 participants will be accepted.
