May 18, 2006 Still Time to Signup for NDSU Online Financial Literacy Education Course The North Dakota State University Extension Service is offering a financial literacy education course intended to train educators, 4-H leaders, bankers, other professionals and volunteers the best methods to reach youth about financial management. The course will be taught online for eight weeks beginning June 6. Curriculum for the class will include streamed videos from statewide professionals, online resources and Web sites. Participants will develop and share lesson plans throughout the course. Course participants will learn about:
The cost of the class is $100 for 2 continuing education credits. Forty-eight scholarships in the amount of $75 each will be awarded, lowering the cost for participants to $25. Instructors for the course are Debra Pankow, NDSU Extension family economics specialist, and Cheryl Thompson, North Dakota Interactive Video Network instructional services specialist.
