Myrene Peterson to be Inducted into North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame

Myrene Peterson of Enderlin will be the 2006 North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame inductee.

The ceremony will be June 21 during the Extension Youth Conference banquet at the Ramada Plaza Suites in Fargo.

Peterson has been a 4-H leader in Ransom County for more than 20 years. She established an incentive program to encourage her club members to continue in 4-H until they graduated from high school.

She has served as county president and leader at large, and as a member of many committees. She has initiated several county awards for the Ransom County Fair and 4-H Awards Night.

Peterson also serves as a judge for county events and at the State Fair, and has led sessions for regional leader forums and taught classes at area 4-H workshops. She recently was honored as Ransom County’s “Friend of 4-H.”

The North Dakota 4-H Foundation sponsors the North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame. For more information or tickets for the Hall of Fame banquet, contact the foundation office at (701) 231-8569.
