North Central Research Extension Center Schedules Canola Day

The North Dakota State University North Central Research Extension Center in Minot will hold its Canola Day program from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 6.

Presentation topics will include:

  • Biodiesel – the conversion of canola oil
  • NDSU Center of Excellence grant for oil seed development
  • Disease management
  • Crop rotation
  • Straight combining canola
  • Weed and insect control

Following the presentations, Barry Coleman, executive director of Northern Canola Growers, will provide an update from the association.

Lunch will be provided. At 1 p.m., Northern Canola Growers will sponsor golf at the Minot Country Club. Contact Coleman for golf information at (701) 223-4124 or coleman@ndpci.com.
