September 12, 2006 New Online Resource Features Equine Information A new online resource is available for horse lovers. HorseQuest, at www.extension.org/horses, provides research-based information on many equine topics. Information is featured on topics such as diseases, facilities, breeds, exercise, hoof care and reproduction. A frequently asked questions section provides more information. In-depth lessons are featured on how to body condition score horses; understanding horse coat color; and topics prospective or new horse owners need to know, including costs, feeding a horse, selecting the right horse and evaluating a horse. HorseQuest also features experts who work one-on-one with online users through live online chats. These one-hour chats feature three Extension Service specialists covering various relevant topics. HorseQuest was developed by a team of Extension Service equine specialists from across the country. ### Source:
