October 12, 2006 ‘Eat Smart. Play Hard.’ Poster Contest Deadline Extended North Dakota youth have more time to come up with award-winning ideas for this fall’s “Eat Smart. Play Hard.” poster contest. The entry deadline has been extended to Dec. 1. The contest, which the North Dakota State University Extension Service, Center for 4-H Youth Development and Bison Athletics sponsor, is open to youth ages 8 to 19 as of Sept. 1. Contestants are required to create posters that educate North Dakota youth and adults about the “Eat Smart. Play Hard.” program’s themes: the importance of families eating together, making healthy food choices and getting regular physical exercise. Mail entries to the Center for 4-H Youth Development, Attn: Eat Smart. Play Hard. Poster Contest Entry, 219 FLC, Fargo, ND 58105. Posters will be judged in two age divisions: preteen (ages 8 to 12) and teen (ages 13 to 19). Winners in each division will receive a cash prize of $75 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place. To learn more about the “Eat Smart.
