North Dakota 4-H Foundation Board Elects Officers

Rick Schmidt of Center was elected chair of the North Dakota 4-H Foundation board of directors during its recent meeting in Jamestown.

Lavina Domagala of Williston was re-elected to a second term on the board and will continue as first vice chair.

Schmidt is with the NDSU Extension Service and Domagala is with First National Bank and Trust in Williston.

Rodney Dannehl of Dickinson and Jim Sailer of Almont also were re-elected to the board. Jean Johnson of Grand Forks was elected to her first term on the board.

Other members of the executive committee are Duane Hauck, director of the North Dakota State University Extension Service; Bob Hanson of Bismarck; Ramona Johnson, with Eide Bailly in Fargo; and Brad Cogdill, chair of NDSU’s Center for 4-H Youth Development.

The North Dakota 4-H Foundation annually provides support for the development of 4-H programs across North Dakota and related 4-H activities of the NDSU Extension Service. The foundation was established in 1959.

More than 42,000 young people participated in 4-H-related youth development activities in North Dakota last year.
