LAW Record Concerns Dealer record inspections the last few years have improved. We see fewer illegal sales because many dealers have their computers programmed so restricted used pesticides sales invoices cannot be printed for a non-certified person. Commercial applicator records have also improved over the years. Some are using computer programs for accumulating needed information and to print the bills. A few are installing GPS (global positioning systems) which will gather needed information for their maps and application records. At the North Dakota Weed Board convention in Minot, I indicated that the department would develop a record keeping form to help the Right of Way applicators keep adequate records. Right of Way applicators have gotten better on recording the weather every hour, but have not always shown the locations. We hope the new form will be helpful. This completed form will meet the requirements as state in North Dakota Administrative Code 60-03-01-07.2. The rules also require that a copy of the records must be provided to the client, township or weed board, depending on who is paying the bill.
