This is an advanced workshop for individuals who desire the latest information on soil fertility, crop management and information technology. This program is designed for crop consultants, agronomists, ag dealers, extension agents and industry representatives. The program begins with registration at 8:30 on Feb. 20 at the Holiday Inn Harvest Hall. It concludes on the 21st at 1:30 p.m. Continuing education credits for certified crop advisors will be available.
Registration
The workshop fee is $125 per person ($75 for one day attendance) if received by Feb. 14. The fee covers the cost of refreshment breaks, meals, social and reference materials. A full refund of the preregistration fee will be provided if requested by Feb. 14. The charge for the program at the door or after Feb. 14 will be $150 for both days and $100 for a single day. Lodging
Reservations for lodging may be made directly with motels in the Fargo/Moorhead area. A block of rooms has been reserved at a reduced rate until Feb. 5 at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S., Fargo, phone (701) 282-2700. Workshop participants must make their own lodging arrangements.

In order to accommodate county extension office space limitations and to deal with the inevitable post April 1, 2003 expiration mad rush to get certified before the spray season, the NDSU Extension Pesticide Program state office is offering additional "exam days".
Commercial exams will be administered for all categories as follows:
No pre-registration will be required for these sessions. However, applicators should come to the testing session with their study materials. Study materials will not be provided at the door.
Exams will be administered anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. After 2:30, applicators may work on exams until 4:00. Those who do not complete their exams in the allotted time will have to make other arrangements with their local county extension office.
The advantage of taking your exams at one of these sessions is that you do not need to make prior arrangements with your county extension office. You will have access to a knowledgeable monitor who has familiarity with the exams. Your exams can be scored on the spot so there will be no mailing lag time to process the exams. Your certifications should be processed faster than through more conventional means. If you need to test in April, consider one of these sessions before you turn to your local county extension office.
