Students may gain practical work experience through Cooperative Education. Credits received through Cooperative Education will not substitute for academic credits required for graduation but are considered an enrichment experience. Students may receive AgEc 496 credit for internships that do count toward graduation. See your advisor for details. Listserv for Possible Internships Here is the listserv for possible internships through the Communication Department at NDSU, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. If an Agriculture major is also studying communication, they may be interested.
Agribusiness and Applied Economics majors can enroll for one semester or a summer session for Agribusiness and AgEc 496 credits (up to five credits) during their Junior or Senior year when working with an approved organization. The academic credits are granted for academic performance in conjunction with an organized work experience rather than work experience per se and do count toward the 128 credits required for graduation.
