How Do I Download & Install Plug-ins?

The process for downloading and installing plug-ins is similar to installing any other software program you have downloaded from the Internet.

In general, you follow this process:

  1. Find the plug-in you need or want.

  2. Choose the appropriate plug-in for your operating system (Macintosh, Windows 3.x, Windows '95, or Windows NT).

  3. Download the plug-in to your computer.

  4. Run the plug-in's installation program. This will install the plug-in on your computer and update your web browser.

  5. Test the plug-in by going to a sample web site.
