Email Client Software

Email MessageEmail client software acts like your personal postmaster. Your email software will check your mailbox for messages and download them to your own computer. Email software also provide options for writing and sending email messages and managing your mail.

Some popular email client software programs include Eudora, Pegasus, Microsoft Internet Mail, Netscape Mail, Hotmail. So what software program do you choose? Most people tend to use what is provided in the work environment, or what is provided by their Internet Service Provider.

Most email programs have the following options for sending and receiving email:

  • send and receive mail messages
  • send and receive files
  • reply to messages
  • forward messages
  • print messages
  • organize messages into folders
  • keep personal address books
