Providers
To find the Internet providers in your area, try:
- Contacting your local phone company.
- Contacting long distance carriers such as AT&T, MCI, and Sprint for
nationwide Internet services.
- Looking under "Internet Services" or "Computer
Services" in your phone book for a local provider.
- Reviewing magazines that deal with Internet or computer topics.
- Purchasing connection kits for commercial services from your local computer
store.
- Checking out "The List" at http://thelist.internet.com/. This Web site contains
service and cost information for ISPs throughout the world. You can view ISPs by area code,
state, or county.
