Volunteering and Teaching Others

Part of the Master Internet VolunteerSM Program involves volunteering 30 hours of time in your community to help others learn about using the Internet.

There are many benefits to volunteering. Volunteering is one of the greatest opportunities you have to bring greater balance and meaning to your life. Volunteer teaching may also help you learn more than you learned while attending classes.

The benefits you derive from volunteering depend a lot on your motivations for volunteering and how you choose to contribute your time. Read on to learn about some characteristics of volunteers and what motivates them, and to gather ideas for your volunteering experience with the Master Internet VolunteerSM Program.
