Who are North Dakota's Master Internet Volunteers?

More than 400 people have participated in the North Dakota MIV program since it began in 1998.

  • The Master Internet VolunteersSM from North Dakota are about 70% female and 30% male.
  • The great majority are in their 40's, followed by 50's and 30's. A smaller percentage are in their 20's or 60's, and a few are in their teens and 70's.
  • A large percentage of the volunteers have an undergraduate degree or have completed some college. 31% have a high school education while 12% have advanced degrees.
  • About 50% of the North Dakota Master Internet VolunteersSM are in a business-related occupation. Many are in education, and there are also large percentages in government, homemakers or retired.
