Mattson is a Research Associate at the Center for Agricultural Policy and Trade Studies at North Dakota State University. He received his MS degree in agricultural economics at North Dakota State University in 2000. Previously, he received a BA degree in economics and management at the University of Minnesota, Morris. After completing the graduate program at NDSU, he began working for Dr. Koo on U.S. - Canada agricultural trade issues and other trade issues.
